My name is Michael Gammons, and I am the founder and owner of Aegis Cyber Defense, a cybersecurity and IT services company dedicated to helping businesses protect their data, systems, and operations from modern cyber threats as a leading IT Company Mansfield TX.
My professional journey has been anything but traditional. Before entering the cybersecurity industry, I spent much of my career in the transportation and logistics sector, where I developed a strong foundation in leadership, safety management, risk assessment, and operational excellence. During my time in logistics, I served as a Regional Safety Manager for a large trucking company, where I was responsible for promoting safety culture, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance across multiple locations. Later, I became the Director of a Truck Driving School, leading training programs and helping prepare the next generation of professional drivers for successful careers.
These roles taught me something that remains true in cybersecurity today: success comes from identifying risks before they become problems, developing effective processes, and empowering people through education and training. Driven by a passion for technology and security, I transitioned into the field of IT and cybersecurity and founded Aegis Cyber Defense in October 2025.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-Idaho). My professional cybersecurity credentials include: ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) and CompTIA Security+. As a cybersecurity professional, I am committed to continuous learning and staying current with the evolving threat landscape. My goal is to provide businesses with practical, effective cybersecurity and IT solutions that reduce risk while supporting their operational objectives.
